The Tehachapi-Cummings County Water District is governed by a five-person Board of Directors elected “from divisions” to four-year staggered terms.  "From divisions" means election of directors who are residents of the division from which they are elected by the voters of the entire District.  The divisions are roughly equal in acreage.  The directors are responsible for policies and decisions which govern the operations of the District.
