Our Board of Directors is comprised of five members elected by the public, from divisions, by all voters within the district. They serve a four-year term and the terms are staggered so that every two years either two or three director’s seats are on the November General Election ballot.

In compliance with SB 827, records pertaining to local agency official training related to ethics training and/or fiscal and financial training may be obtained through submitting our Public Records Act Request Form.

The following offices are up for election on November 3, 2026: 

• Director, Division 1
• Director, Division 3
• Director, Division 5

The deadline to file a Declaration of Candidacy with the Kern County Elections Division is 5pm on August 7, 2026. For more information, please see the Notice of Election. 

If interested in obtaining information as to the division you are located within, the Division Boundary Map shows general boundaries for the District's five divisions and the GIS Portal can be used to obtain a more detailed street-level view of those boundaries. If preferred, a map showing the division boundaries is available for public inspection at the District Office during normal business hours.
